As part of the All-Russian Olympic Day, the Russian Olympic Committee and the Russian Olympians Foundation signed a collabotative agreement.
On the part of the ROC, the agreement was signed by the Head of the organization, four-time Olympic champion Stanislav Pozdnyakov, and on behalf of the Foundation - by the Executive Director Alexander Katushev.
“Over the years, we have implemented more than 70 programs, more than half of which were conceived and implemented together with the ROC,” said Katushev. - Therefore, the completion of the agreement, like what we have with the Ministry of Sports, has been around for a long time. Now that we have filled this gap, I hope that our collaboration will expand. This year we have five programs and almost the same number are planned for the following year. Now we are going to the regions, supporting the Youth Olympic Games.
And the head of the ROC recalled that he was familiar with the work of the Russian Olympians Foundation even when he was an active athlete himself.
- Minister of Sports, Pavel Kolobkov, and I at one time were one of the first grant recipients under the Foundation's programs in the mid-2000s, - said Pozdnyakov.
